Cloud Computing with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Level 2

This is a two day course with the aim to empower you with hands-on experience to be able to develop and deploy highly scalable applications on AWS platform. There will be in-depth discussion on AWS architecture, how to make scalable and highly-available applications, and hands-on practical on deploying and starting your first website on EC2, migrating an application from normal database to Relations Database Service database, creating of virtual machines, use of virtual load balancers, and auto-scaling features. This exam will also help towards clearing the AWS certification exam. Our instructor Bhavesh is ex-AWS dev team member, and has trained over 300 people on AWS.

This is a certificate course and a certificate will be provided after completing the course.

Objectives:

  • To attain comprehensive fundamental understanding of AWS Cloud technologies
  • Be able to start a Windows or Linux server in the Cloud with its own private IP address
  • Be able to startup a CRM / WordPress / etc. website hosted in Cloud
  • Be able to start a highly scalable MySQL or Oracle database in the Cloud with multiple read-replica databases (for scalability of database)
  • Be able to setup a load-balancer in the Cloud
  • Be able to understand the  redundancy, fault-tolerance and high availability requirements of a web application

  • Some experience with Linux system administration advisable but not required

About The Trainer

Bhavesh Goswami
Co-Founder & CEO

Bhavesh was in the initial development team of Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Seattle. He honed his Cloud computing skills at Amazon where he helped ship the first version of S3 in 2006. After over three years at Amazon, he moved to Microsoft to take up the challenge to manage Cosmos, the cloud storage and Big Data computational engine that powers all of Microsoft’s Online Services, including Bing. He is passionate about technology and keeps the company up to date on the latest cloud technologies.

Bhavesh has taught Cloud Computing to more than 200 professionals since early 2012. He has also spoken at various conferences and seminars about Cloud Computing and Big Data.
